WHAT IS RGT PERFORMANCE?

RGT Performance is a High-Performance Training System based in Southern California that specializes in maximizing Acceleration, Speed, Power, and Jumping ability for Professional, Collegiate, and Youth athletes. Founder Rostam Turner has spent over 15 years refining his understanding of movement systems and ways of optimizing performance. Turner is an international level Decathlete from Canada that has competed at the highest level in sport. He has also become a collegiate coach and has helped numerous high school athletes attain NCAA athletic scholarships. Turner has extensive knowledge in Sprint and Jump Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Injury Prevention, Sport Psychology and Motivation, and Nutrition.

Rostam G. Turner, M.S, B.Sc Kin, NSCA-CSCS.

Rostam G. Turner is an international level decathlete who has competed at the highest level in sport for over 8 years. He’s built an impressive resume representing his home country Canada on three occasions, medalling all three times and even setting a record at the NACAC u23 championships in El Salvador. Turner is also a highly driven coach who will stop at nothing to enhance his understanding of human performance. Turner is known for his extensive knowledge in Sprint Biomechanics, Training Periodization, Injury Prevention, and Sport Psychology. He has a unique approach to training that incorporates all aspects of high performance, including Motor Learning/Skill Acquisition, Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition, Rest and Recovery, and Mental Development. He has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from one of the most prestigious Universities in the World, the University of Toronto, where he built close relationships with Professors in the High Performance department as well as with Coaches of the Varsity Programs. In 2017, he developed a tool that monitors training load and gives feedback into the effectiveness of the periodization process, used by many top athletes today. In 2021, Turner completed his Master of Science in Leadership and Management at the University of La Verne, where he studied the social, behavioural, and environmental conditions required for athletes to succeed in sport. More specifically, his research thesis focused on the coach’s role in fostering a training environment and motivational climate that supports an athlete’s ability to reach flow (optimal psychological state) in their respective sports. His experience in high performance and international competition, as well as his network of highly skilled professionals helps separate him as one of the leading experts in speed and power based training.
